Day 1: 8 a.m. depart from Chiang Mai. Drive 1 ½ hours with a pickup truck to Mae Wang district which is located South West of Chiang Mai. You will visit Ban Kad village market where you can wander around for 30 minutes. Drive further to the Elephant camp. You will enjoy riding on an elephant for about 40 minutes. The car will drive you 10 more minutes. Walk 1 ½ hours to Mae Pui Waterfall where you can swim and enjoy lunch. Walk 40 minutes to the second waterfall. Walk through beautiful paddy fields and nature for 40 minutes to the ethnic Karen village Huay Hoi village where you will spend the night. Before dawn you can wander through the village and observe traditional Karen life including how dinner is prepared. Your hosts will cook original Karen food and your guide a Thai meal which is share. Later in the evening your guide will explain you Karen life and give you other general information.
Day 2: 7:30 a.m. is wake up time with breakfast. 9 a.m. start hiking for about 2 ½ hours through natural forest. Enjoy lunch in the middle of parry fields and relax for 1 hour. Walk to the Karen village Huay Kao Leep village. Walk further 1 ½ hours to one more water fall. After 15 minutes walking you will reach the Karen village Prathu Muang village where you will spend your second night.
Day 3: 8 a.m. breakfast is served. 9 a.m. start walking for about 2 ½ hours to the Huay Mae Wang stream. Enjoy lunch. After lunch walk 15 minutes to the pickup truck and drive for about 20 minutes to the rafting camp. You will enjoy about 40 minutes to 1 hour bamboo rafting (depending on the water level). Drive back to Chiang Mai in about 1 hour.
